Timber wood panelling required to bathroom walls, finished with skirting boards and trims. Wooden steps and a stud wall built to access an area with different levels. Hang a door with its door furniture.
First, solid pine timber wood panelling 16mm thick x 100mm wide, detail butt and bead. To provide the correct finish and look it was calculated that it would be best to batten out the walls in a treated timber 25mm x 50mm plugged and screwed to the solid brick walls with plastic packers used where necessary to provide a flat even surface to fix the panelling using suitable pins. Panelling cut on site with a mitre saw using a fine blade.
Panelling firmly fixed and cut around services/pipework run down in size and planed to suit areas corners and to suit dimensions of window. All rough edges sanded. A 60mm solid timber pine bullnose moulding was cut, prepared, mitred, sanded and fixed to finish the top edge. A solid 150mm pine Ogee skirting was also cut, mitred, sanded and fixed to finish the bottom section. Wooden steps custom built on site in 18mm MDF to provide access between an area in the property with two different levels, plus a stud partition wall also built to provide a divide between two areas.
Holes cut out for services and electrical sockets. A new solid Oak door cut, planed and hung to suit an existing opening with new timber door stops added plus all new associated furniture and solid chrome hinges.
A solid pine window board added to timber panelling to finish. All woodwork sanded back and cleaned. Holes filled where necessary with a rapid light weight filler. One hour high grade decorating caulk used to all internal and external corners to provide a perfect finish ready to be decorated.
